Finally!

After the longest hiatus from blogging to date (15 whole days), Claire is finally back and bigger than ever!  Not only is this my 50th post...a milestone for me...Claire has reached some major milestones herself.  It honestly feels like she all of a sudden grew up over the weekend.  I don't know how she's growing  so fast!

The biggest milestone reached (over the weekend...literally): she's crawling!  She's not great at it yet but she can definitely get to something across the room if she really wants to...a huge milestone considering we thought she'd never crawl since she NEVER stayed on her belly.  Boy were we wrong.
Not sure how long she'll be crawling since she still prefers standing and walking with some help.  Thanks to big cousins Grace, Maddie, and Luke lending Claire their shopping cart, she now has something that can move with her besides us.  She just loves it.
She could literally stand by/walk this thing all day and be perfectly content.
Can't even sit to eat....just grab a quick bite of her toy banana from Grammie and she's on her way.
Another huge milestone (and my personal favorite): she learned how to wave!  She waves whenever we wave to her, or if we just say "Hi", or if we're not paying attention to her and she wants us to then she'll initiate the wave.  It's really the cutest thing...especially b/c she waves in the same direction we wave to her aka she waves to herself.  I just love it. I'm pretty sure she's waving to the window here...who knows why but she's excited to see it :)
Claire has also been feeding herself.  She prefers it actually making it pretty hard to feed her anything pureed.
So much so we sometimes give up and let her feed herself the puree (as long as it's a bath night).
Who needs hands?
She REALLY loves her apples.
She even pulled the spoon out to try help get the rest.
Not sure how much actually made it on the spoon but it was a good effort.
Again, only on bath nights.
Another funny thing she just started doing out of nowhere is making this really funny squinty face.  She does it when she thinks something is silly AND when she's not happy about something.  Not sure why she does the same thing to express completely different emotions...maybe it's the only face she knows how to intentionally make right now so that's all she knows to do when trying to show us what she's feeling?  I don't know but it cracks us up.  Here, she's not happy. Mommy wasn't feeding her fast enough.
And here, she's being silly after playing with her food.
Not much of a difference, right?  Most of the time we're not sure if she's going to laugh or cry after making this face.  She definitely keeps us on our toes.

Some other things Claire has been up to over the past 2 weeks...playing with some of her favorite toys...
 Including Mommy's glasses.
And the camera as Mommy's tries to take pictures.
 Taking baths...
And chomping on the washcloth to help with her teething (she officially has 4 teeth now...1 on top and 3 on the bottom...kind of funny looking...hopefully more start coming in on top)
But the bowl is her favorite bath toy...go figure.
Trying to play with the camera yet agin.
And last but not least....Claire saying bye to Mommy as she goes to her first day at her new job (which Mommy is so excited about since it gives her lots more Claire time).
Hopefully that means I'll have more time to blog so it's not another 2 weeks before the next update :)
