Broad Street Weekend

Claire started off last weekend by meeting Franklin, the pup of a good friend of Mommy's.  Just like with Winnie, Claire would seem pretty interested in Franklin as long as he wasn't so interested in her...

But the minute he turned towards her or would try to lick her, she freaked.

And poor Franklin.  All he wanted was to give her kisses (who wouldn't, right?) :)  This is the closest she got to the super cute pup.  And believe it or not, she's actually smiling behind that pacifier...most likely because Franklin isn't so interested in her at the moment.

After hanging with Franklin we headed home and played with some of Claire's favorite toys including her jack-in-the-box from cousin Lilly.

Then we hung by the window waiting for Nana to come.

And made some funny faces for Daddy who was cleaning up out front.

Nana came to hang out with the little lovebug while Mommy and Daddy ran the Broad Street run on Sunday.  A quick family pic before we headed to the start.

Nana and Claire came to cheer us on right around the 7 mile mark.  Guess we took too long...Claire fell asleep before we got to say hi.  Nana was there though and snapped this uber fabulous picture of us about two thirds of the way through.  Despite how red faced I am, we actually finished the race...and felt surprisingly good. 

After the race, we grabbed some lunch with the well rested peanut.  She ate about half of Mommy's french fries and gnawed on her mascara once the food was all gone.  Her second tooth up top FINALLY broke through today.  She's now at a grand total of 6...2 more than last week!  I'm hoping she'll have a little tooth growth hiatus for at least a few weeks to give our fingers, arms, noses, cell phones, remotes, anything she can get her hands on really, a break from teething.

After lunch, we got a bit silly...

And had lots of fun crawling around.  

She's really on the move now.
