Family Dinner Night

Last week we had family dinner night with some of the Flanagan's and Torpey's.  A few of Claire's favorite people were there...including Grammy and cousin Lilly.
Their 2 month age difference seemed like such a big gap for the longest time but Lilly is growing so fast you won't be able to tell who is the older one soon!  What a sweetie...
Claire got to spend some time reading with Grammy and Pop.
We always love family dinner night which by the way it's your turn next Grammy and Pop :)

Some more highlights from last week....

Claire hanging out in her pj's.
Look Ma, no hands!
Checking on the neighbors...
And babbling about them to me.
Enjoying the nice weather and dining al fresco.
On Tuesday, Grammy and Pop came to check out the little lady's swim skills.
I'm sure they were thoroughly impressed :)  Oh and Daddy got to swim with the little mermaid last week.  She loved every second of it.
Can't wait to see some more friends and family this weekend!

Happy St Patty's Day!

St. Patty's Day weekend started with a nice Friday afternoon for me and the little lady.  We got to hang out with Aunt Jenn, Mike, Paige, and Claire's newest buddy, Michael for a little bit.  We hit up the mall and then enjoyed the nice weather for a few minutes before meeting some of the ladies from work for a girl's dinner.
I wish I had taken more pics at dinner b/c Claire was quite the ham.  She seemed to have a great time.  Didn't give Mommy much time for taking pics though as she was quite interested in getting her hands on every single thing on the table. Here's the only pic I took of half of the girls at dinner...as you can see Claire had a blast.
Saturday we celebrated St Patty's Day up in Reading.  Claire was all dressed and ready to go...
She could hardly contain her excitement.
First, we headed to Rory & Kristen's where Claire got to hang out with buddies Gavin and Maddie.  They REALLY liked her shamrock headband...Claire did not give it up however :)  On our way home from the party we swung by Aunt Colleen & Uncle Chad's for a little bit.  I got to spend some QT with a few of my favorite ladies.
And watch Claire try out their swing.  She wasn't so sure about it at first...
But once Grace gave her a nice push she was loving it.
 Happy St. Patty's Day!
Oh and I almost forgot.  I wanted to attempt uploading my first video.  Claire is quite the giggly girl lately - doesn't take much to get her laughing.  Check out the video to see just how easy it is.

Birthdays and Parades

This weekend Claire was lucky enough to get invited to her friend Matthew's 4th birthday party at the Bucks County Children's Museum in New Hope.  "Woot Woot!"  She was so excited :)
Daddy and Claire headed into the party...
It was a lot of fun.  They had all sorts of stuff for kids to play with including a wheelbarrow...
(How crazy did this picture turn out??  Matthew's mom, Maria, was taking a picture at the same time so the flash made the picture look cut in half...ps I love how big she's smiling for Maria...such a ham).
She also loved looking through the netting at daddy.
And couldn't get enough of the lights.
After singing Happy Birthday to the super cute birthday boy...
We headed home and relaxed with a good book...one of Claire's favorites.
On Sunday, we took advantage of the gorgeous weather.  Claire's cousins, Aunt Colleen, Uncle Chad, and Nana and Papa came down for the St Patty's Day Parade.  We woke up early on Sunday morning and headed to 9:30am mass at where else but St Patrick's.
After mass we grabbed some bagels at Spread.  The line was pretty long so we had to wait a while.  Good thing they had some chairs out front b/c Maddie was exhausted...the life of a 4 year old can be so hard sometimes.
Once through the line, we headed over to the park to enjoy those delicious bagels while Claire took a nap.
 Then we were off.
We got there just before the parade started to come by so we got a great spot right in front of Logan Circle.  We parked our butts on the curb and waited for it to start.
And start it did.  I forget what these guys were called but they looked like Civil War re-enactors.  They made sure everyone knew the parade was starting by firing off their super loud guns.
Claire was not liking them so much.
She did enjoy the rest of the parade however...lots of bagpipes and dancing...I think we may even have a dancer of our own :)

Her favorite part though was getting to hang with some family.
And maybe posing for the camera :)

Lazy weekend

So it's Sunday night and I just realized I hadn't taken one picture of the little lovebug all weekend.  Probably because we did a whole lot of nothing.  So I decided to snap a few of Claire just hanging out.

Doing her favorite thing...
Standing!
And falling.
And trying to get back up...
Then realizing she needs me to help her get up...this just warms my heart :)
I honestly don't think there's anything she loves more right now.
Except for maybe playing with our cell phones.
Our little cutie patootie :)
Hopefully we're not as boring next weekend.

Splish Splash

Somebody started taking swim lessons last week...
She was so excited in her little bathing suit waiting to get into the water.
The water was a little cold when we first got in but Claire didn't even flinch.  She was too nosy checking out Hailey and her mom.
Not to mention the group of boys taking lessons next to us...
What a flirt...watch out Dad.
Once Claire was done checking out the fellas, we finally got down to business swimming laps....I must say, not bad form for a 6 month old ;-)
Had a little fun on the noodles...
Jumped up and down while Claire held on to her piggies.
Got to "play" with some rubber ducks...or more like eat them.
Someone really enjoyed her swim lessons
We just can't wait for Tuesdays :)

Some other highlights from the past week...

Claire got a new piano.
She loves it...not sure how much mommy and daddy do.
Went for a run with Daddy.
And food shopping.
Got new jammies in honor of Pop and Aunt Laura.
And most recently, got to hang out with little cousin Lill'
Sweet Lill' :)
