With Claire's birthday a little over a week away, Mommy and Daddy decided to take the little munchkin shopping for her first birthday present. We woke up early on Sunday morning and played a little bit before heading to the mall.
Claire has grown very fond of her babydoll from Nana. She hugs and kisses her all the time. And for some reason always carries her upside down. Funny girl.
Kisses!
After breakfast, we hopped in the car and headed to the mall. Mommy sat in the back with Claire...who had no idea what to think of that. I think I was encroaching on her space.
Once at the mall, Mommy and the little peanut hung outside on a bench for a little bit while Daddy and Nana shopped in the Apple store. Claire had some goldfish...
And played with Mommy's sunglass case (you wouldn't believe how long this thing will occupy her...she opens it, takes the eyeglass cloth out, shuts the case, opens it and puts the cloth back in...she can literally do this forever at a time).
Where did my little girl go?? She is such a toddler all of a sudden.
Once Daddy and Nana were all done in Apple, we headed to the best place on Earth for little ones, Toys R Us. We knew exactly what we were getting her so we ran in quick, picked it up, headed home, and started putting it together right away. Anyone looking for a gift for a 1 yr old?? I'd highly recommend a brand new kitchen.
Claire is OBSESSED with hers. She has a blast turning all of the knobs...
And stirring some air on the stove...
And putting everything imaginable in and out of the microwave and oven.
She just loves it - can't get enough. Well worth every penny. Happy Birthday Peanut!
Nana stayed with us this past week to help keep an eye on Claire while Grammy and Pop were in California meeting Claire's gorgeous little cousin, Kayla. She brought Claire to the park to meet Mommy and Daddy after work on Monday night.
Claire is really starting to show an interest in other kids. She was following them all around the park waving.
It was such a nice little treat getting to spend some time with the sweet little girl at the park on a weeknight. Thanks so much Nana!
I recently realized I haven't been taking many bath time pictures (which bugs me since I love bath pics and you really only have a small window of time before they become inappropriate ha) so I decided to bring my phone in with me tonight and snap a few. I quickly realized why I haven't been taking pictures....because this little bugger never wants to sit still...
She loves the tub....but spends most of the time walking around and splashing. Thankfully we have a good slip mat.
Well that about does it for this week. Stay tuned for more Birthday Posts :)

Glad Claire loves her new kitchen!! Time flies, doesn't it?!
ReplyDeletePaige loved sunglass cases too! Its the little things in life right?! I love her little bum in the bath, ha! Glad she's loving the kitchen, maybe she will learn to cook with her daddy!
