Old, zoo, and new friends

Our weekend started on Friday when Mommy got home from work (how lucky am I to come home to these lookers??).

We took it easy at home on Friday night for a big day of shopping on Saturday.  We hit up the mall pretty much all day.  I think Claire loves Michael Kors just as much as Mommy.  She did not want to leave his shoes.  We literally had to pull her away.
On Sunday, we woke up bright and early for a little surprise...the zoo!
We went with a couple of Claire's buddies, Paige & Michael.  She watched as Paige went for a pony ride (maybe next year Claire).
And groomed some of the animals (not even sure what this thing is ha).
I didn't bring Claire into the petting area at first since she's been a little nervous around dogs let alone surround her with goats, sheep, and whatever that other thing is.  But she seemed really interested and was leaning over the fence to see them...
So I went for it and plopped her down in the middle of all of them.  She didn't seem to mind at all.  She even pet a couple of goats and smiled for Jenn on the other side of the fence.  I was totally surprised.
After getting up close and personal, we headed over to the pond to feed some ducks.
Paige told Claire all about how to do it.
But all Claire was interested in was chasing the pigeons.  Figures.  The one animal she can actually see in Philly.
Michael was as sweet as can be smiling at everything and everyone from his stroller.
Claire had other things in mind for hers.  She was zonked after such an exciting morning and had to take a nap.
Good thing she got some rest b/c we had someone VERY important to meet Sunday night.  We headed up to Claire's cousins house...
Where she got to meet her newest little cousin (can't believe she already has 3 younger cousins...and she's not even a year old yet...so crazy and so fun!).  It's Bridget Moira!!!   She's the sweetest little munchkin!  Claire's quite a lucky girl to have so many cutie patootie cousins.  Congratulations Colleen, Chad, Grace, Maddie, and Luke!
It was another great weekend.  Besides shopping, the zoo, and meeting the newest addition to the fam, Claire enjoyed some yummy meals including stromboli (she ate an entire piece all by herself...piggy).  She's also trying to use a fork all by herself.  Still a work in progress but we're proud of our little grown up.
Another cute thing she does during mealtime is sit with her legs crossed...always.  I had to take a pic...I just love it.
Thank YOU for stopping by and checking in on Claire :)  See you all next week.
