Last weekend was the first one in quite some time where we didn't travel or stay overnight anywhere. It was a nice relaxing weekend at home....although Claire was still a busy bee. She's learning more and more every single day. You can just see the wheels turning in her head as she's trying new things all the time. It's so much fun to watch.
She still loves chewing on everything in sight...
And talking tons...
But she's also spending more time PLAYING in her exersaucer....and not just chewing it. The little brown castle has a wheel on it that she spins over and over again. She just loves it.
She's still not a big fan of tummy time but she has mastered the roll over from belly to back (probably b/c she hates being on her tummy so much :)). She first rolled over when we were at Aunt Mary's in NYC over a month ago but was only doing it every once in a while (probably only 6-7 times over the month) until very recently. Over the past couple of days, she easily turns over every single time we tease her with a toy.
If you place it just out of reach...Or next to her...
"Are you ready mom? I'm gonna do it."
She rolls right over :)
Besides rolling over, Claire also started standing up on her own with only the help from the ottoman. I really can't believe these pictures...I'm still in shock she's growing so fast!
Not only does she stand, but she's coordinated enough to reach and grab for stuff while doing so.Bottles are her favorite.
Another milestone reached this weekend....Claire's first meal consisting of solid food (rice cereal). She was so excited when we put her in her highchair...she knew something delicious was coming.
She wasn't sure at first...
But didn't take long to realize she loved it.
Love this face.
She wanted to feed herself after only a few spoonfuls.
Her love of grabbing and chewing things has made it really hard to read to her lately. She just wants to eat the pages of the books instead of look at them.
Even though we didn't really do anything this weekend, it was still super eventful for our little smiley pants.
Nighty night :)

My prediction is she's walking at 10 months! Look at how strong those little legs are!
ReplyDeleteWow!! I can't believe how big she is getting! She is too cute :) It goes too fast, doesn't it?! Hope all is well!
